Nate turns 7 today

Happy Birthday Nate! Dad loves you!

It’s an exciting day at the Rivet household as my middle child Nate is celebrating his 7th birthday. It is with some serious trepidation that I divulge that I have to work today, but I will be getting out just as soon as I can and hurry home to celebrate this special little guys big day!

Nate is so excited that he can’t quit smiling and gushing about his birthday. My sister-in-law and her 3 boys are coming over to help celebrate his birthday to swim in our little pool and pretty much tear the place up. This okay as I enjoy watching his excitement as he runs around playing with his buddies and basks in the glow of being the focus of the day.

Nate has struggled in the past controlling himself as he has been diagnosed recently with ADHD. We didn’t want to medicate the life and vibrancy of this young boy, however, his doctor has provided a dose for him that he takes once a day that has drastically improved his quality of life. He is more focused, less excitable, but still a fun loving and vibrant young man.

Here’s to you Nate! It’s your special day and I’m proud to be your Dad!
